Laser Eye Surgery
Having worn glasses since school and later contact lenses, I was after something a lot more convenient. Contact lenses were a pain and I constantly got that "scratchy" sensation in the eye. I decided to get tested for laser surgery and once I was advised that I was suitable, there was no hesitation in booking the procedure. The procedure itself was only 10 minutes; I was driving within 5 days and returned to work after 6. Laser treatment is one of the best things that I have ever done and I love being able to wake up in the morning and see everything clearly without worrying about glasses or contact lenses. I don't have to squint to read things and everything always has a clean cut edge. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about getting laser to get tested, there is nothing to lose and so much to gain.

I selected Advanced Surface Laser (ASL) surgery over LASIK because it is a minimally intrusive procedure which does not require cutting of the cornea. I had the problem of constantly having to remove my glasses when looking from a reading position to directly straight ahead, which used to make me feel disorientated and giddy. The surgery has removed this and certainly improved my quality of life. I selected the Sebban Eye Centre based initially on personal recommendation, from people who have had successful ASL surgery. The initial consultation and testing is free so there is only the cost of the surgery, which is very competitive.

Lens Surgery
Prior to Artiflex lenses my vision was extremely poor. I became very depressed when my optometrist said I had to wear extremely thick glasses. Unfortunately I was not a suitable candidate for laser treatment, mostly due to the high level of astigmatism which I had. But the good news was there was something else available for me to be glasses free - this was Artiflex lenses. I had the Artiflex lenses inserted on the 19th March, 2007 and they have changed my whole life! As soon as I opened my eyes after the procedure, I could see! I was so overwhelmed that I cried when I could read the clock right down at the end of the room! I had never in my life been able to see like that! For those people out there with very high prescriptions, don't get discouraged or feel that there is no hope, because there is Artiflex out there. I can't explain how happy I have been since having Artiflex - it's magic!

I had Prelex at Dr Ilan Sebban's surgery a year ago. I am extremely happy with the results. Before I had Prelex, I could not read without glasses, in fact I couldn't even buy an item without having to put my glasses on to read the price tag. I can now thread a needle without glasses. (The word GLASSES is now out of my vocabulary).The operation was done in day surgery and I attended work 2 days later, but could have gone back the very next day. I had always had very good long distance vision and with prelex now, I also have fantastic near vision. Prelex has truly done wonders for my eyes. I am extremely happy with the results of Laser Surgery with Dr Sebban. I was recommended to Dr Ilan Sebban through some of my friends who had done their laser surgery with him. I was shocked to hear how cheap it was, but I did not hesitate at all since all 4 of my friends had it done with him and had no complications or problems. I am very happy about having had Laser eye surgery. My vision is excellent now, I even find my vision is much better than the vision I had with contact lenses before laser treatment. I must admit I was a bit nervous initially about going for any laser treatment at all, but now after the procedure I can see the results for myself.
